Tera: the Technion - Rambam Initiative for medical AI

A new research project funded by TERA: The Technion - Rambam Initiative for medical AI.
A joint team from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and Rambam Health Care Campus has been awarded a grant to develop an AI-powered system for situation-aware management of outpatient clinic operations. The project deploys Digital Twin and Multi-Agent Simulation systems to help hospital managers make data-driven decisions to reduce patient waiting times, ease congestion, and improve the daily experience for both patients and staff.

The research team brings together expertise across disciplines:
馃敼 Asst. Prof. Davide Schaumann, Intelligent Place Laboratory, Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at Technion
馃敼 Assoc. Prof. Galit Yom-Tov, Service Engineering Enterprise Lab, Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences, Technion
馃敼 Roee Avraham, Director of Ambulatory Services and Organizational Processes, Rambam Health Care Campus
馃敼 Nissim Haim, Deputy Director, Rambam Health Care Campus
The system will be deployed at Rambam's Orthopedics Outpatient Clinic to translate cutting-edge research into quantifiable operational improvements.
Congratulations to the team and many thanks to the TERA Academic Directors Prof. Joachim Behar and Dr. Ronit Almog, MD, MPH, and Chief Operating Officer Irena Papier.
