
Hillel Yaffe "Hila Program" Visit to the Technion

The Hila Program is a leadership and medical excellence program created in partnership with the Rothschild Foundation and the Hille-Yaffe medical center Friends Association,and is intended for outstanding interns. The goal of the visit was to promote the integration of these young physicians into research activities carried out at the Technion, to integrate clinical thinking and experience into such research and to cultivate a young generation of physician-researchers in Israel.
The visit started at the Technion Medical Faculty and later moved to the Polak Visitors Center at the Neve Shaanan campus. The event featured opening remarks from Prof. Miki Dudkevich, Hillel Yaffe Medical Center Director, Prof. Noam Adir, Technion's Vice President for Research, Prof. Lihi Manor Tzelnik, Vice President for Innovation and Industry Relations, and Prof. Noam Ziv, Deputy Senior VP for Biomedical Science & Engineering. This was followed by intense discussions with Faculty deans and senior academic leaders on integrating clinical expertise with ongoing research, and creating opportunities for medical innovation. Many ideas were expressed and are currently being pursued in follow-up activities.
